Dr. Ava Pannullo
Dr. Ava Pannullo is the Medical Director for the Hebrew HealthCare, Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing and Hebrew HealthCare, Hospital Attending Physician. She has been with Hebrew HealthCare since 1993.
Dr. Pannullo oversees the medical department and treatment of all HealthCare, Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing residents and all patients at Hebrew HealthCare, Hospital. In addition to seeing her own patients, Dr. Pannullo is also directly involved in supervising the medical care of residents and patients who are assigned to other Hebrew HealthCare physicians, including the physicians at Connecticut Geriatric Specialty Group. Dr. Pannullo is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics.
Dr. Pannullo earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Vanderbilt University, and graduated from the UMDNJ. She also completed her residency at the UMDNJ, and earned a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine from the University Of Connecticut Travelers Center on Aging.
Dr. Harold Sandals
Dr. Harold Sandals is the Hebrew HealthCare, Hospital Attending Physician and Medical Director for Hebrew HealthCare, Home Health & Hospice since 2013.
Dr. Harold Sandals has 20 years experience as a nursing home Medical Director at Woodlake at Tolland. He also served as the medical director of North Central Hospice in Vernon for 30 years. He was a founding member of the Academy of Hospice Physicians.
His interests are in hospice and palliative medicine, and medical ethics. In addition to his role as staff physician, he serves as Medical Director for Hebrew Health Hospice. He has a B.A. in biology from Clark University, earning his M.D. degree as a member of the third graduating class of the University of Connecticut, School of Medicine. He completed a 4 year Yale affiliated residency in Primary Care at Bridgeport Hospital. He practiced for 25 years with Tolland Family Medicine. He oversees the medical care of residents on three skilled nursing units.
Elizabeth Esstman, APRN
Beth Esstman is a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner for Hebrew HealthCare, Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing. She has been a nurse practitioner for over 10 years, and has been working at Hebrew HealthCare since 2002, providing healthcare to patients on the long term care units, the sub-acute unit, and the Hebrew HealthCare, Hospital. She currently practices primarily on the sub-acute unit caring for geriatric patients there.
In addition, she is a clinical instructor for Yale University, and oversees nurse practitioner students from Yale doing their clinical training at the Hebrew HealthCare.
Beth received her RN and Masters in Nursing from Yale University and is certified as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She has been published in The Consultant.
Heidi Haller, APRN
Heidi Haller, APRN, provides healthcare to long-term care residents and short-term rehabilitation patients at Hebrew HealthCare. In collaboration with the attending physicians, Ms. Haller manages the residents/patients chronic and acute medical conditions.
Ms. Haller has been an APRN at Hebrew Health Care since 2006. Prior to her current position she was a staff nurse at Hebrew HealthCare, Hospital. While pursuing her Masters in Nursing, she worked as a staff nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Ms. Haller has a BS from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and received her RN and MSN from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA. Ms. Haller is certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has been published in The Consultant. Over the past year she has mentored Nurse Practitioner students from both University of Connecticut and Yale University.
