Hebrew HealthCare’s Bereavement Support Group
March 10, 2016, West Hartford, CT- Hebrew HealthCare is pleased to offer bereavement support to the Great Hartford community. The Hebrew HealthCare Partner Bereavement Support Group is designed for those individuals who have lost their wives, husbands, or life partners. Experiencing losses often breaks our world and after the initial grief that is experienced, many individuals’ look for different avenues to be able to adjust to life without those particular loved ones. This Partner Support Group offers survivors the chance to share their stories and gather strength, healing and understanding from one another.
Hebrew HealthCare will be holding Bereavement Support Groups twice monthly on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm at the Senior Day Center on Hebrew HealthCare’s West Hartford campus. The group will be co-facilitated by Lynn Kaplan and Rabbi Daniel Braune-Friedman. Lynn has been an essential part of Hebrew HealthCare’s support group, bringing her own experiences after the loss of her husband. Rabbi Dan is the chaplain at Hebrew HealthCare; he offers a wealth of knowledge on loss and offers a compassionate ear and safe environment for sharing thoughts, feelings, and memories. The group is free and open to all. Refreshments, sponsored by Weinstein Mortuary, will be served.
